FRESH START for the NEXT GENERATION DayCare is an exclusive, limited enrollment facility dedicated to providing a quality learning environment for infant care to pre-kindergarten. In keeping with our “active learning: philosophy, children are placed both according to age and “ learning-readiness”. Although the entire staff is in agreement with the fundamental goals and character of this core philosophy, each member organizes and conducts class in her own way. Each child is encouraged to explore, learn, contribute, question and grow in a manner that is natural to his or her own personality, at a pace that is comfortable to the individual student.
Our goals are specifically these:
· To appreciate each child for his/her own unique personal qualities.
· To encourage within each child the growth of a good, positive self-image and an attitude of confidence.
· To enrich the child’s environment with field trips, a garden, pets, science projects, cooking experiences, and frequent contact with visitors of special interest.
· To present a safe, risk-free, non-judgmental environment in which a child may explore his/her own feelings in an encouraging atmosphere.
· To equip each child with an academic readiness for elementary level education.
